Your welcome. I know what you mean, some of my best gaming memories come from Zelda too. My banner is from Senran Kagura. It was a surprisingly fun game. I mean it's a solid beat-em up and has a great story and awesome music. However, it's really, really fan-servicey and have a hard time recommending it.

Thanks, I have all those games in my Now Playing list because I don't want to remove anything until I put up there until I beat. It's suppose to serve as extra motivation. It's not working xD

Your avatar and banner are so cool. I got a huge hit of nostalgia just from looking at them.

Yeah, it's PS1 games that you buy on PSN. There's a PS2 Classics, too, but you can't get those on a PSP, and I still have my PS2 and almost every game that I want for it.

I got about a quarter of the way through the first one, and almost everything about the game really got under my skin. I don't know what my favorite Chrono Cross song would be, but Time's Scar is a very strong contender. Pfff... Mama doesn't do numeric conventions; have a list of 24, instead: [Link] Or just skip to #10 and read downward; 'tis of no consequence to me.

I did see that, and I guess it's a good thing. You can choose not to use it, but it'll appease those who don't like it so much. It's certainly better than, say, just automatically making the boat faster. I don't have a Wii U - or interest in one, at least for the time being - but I did browse the list of changes, and I have to say that the Pictobox ones were really good. Skyward Sword is a game that I gave a 4/10 in my starving artist professional review, and almost entirely because of the broken controls. The game really wasn't nearly as pretty as it was touted to be, either; everything beautiful was in Faron Woods, aside from the part where Death Mountain erupts and everything's covered in a cloud of ash; it reminded me a lot of Death Mountain in the Dark World in A Link to the Past. Everything else was just kinda meh, and I'm usually a total sucker for deserts. No, I didn't see it; I don't usually catch them, except around E3.

I've discovered a lot of games that I want to play through PS1 Classics; it's neat being able to buy them for $10-15 (not that it's my money; I can't afford to buy my own games, so I wait for Chrismas/my birthday), so that I can try them out with less risk. I didn't like Grandia, but it was no big loss, and I loved Chrono Cross; it became my #5 RPG of all time, pushing Breath of Fire 3 down to #6. They're not bad, but they taste a little too much like chocolate (dark chocolate, oddly enough), and not enough like Nutella; I'm still tweaking the recipe, but this will be only the second time I've made it.

Absolutely; I can't believe that so many people complain that it takes too long to get where they're going, when the journey itself is so incredible. I don't even think that I truly appreciated Adventure of Link until my senior year of high school, when I rediscovered it; until I played Wind Waker (which was several years after Twilight Princess came out), it was my favorite by a mile. Yeah, and I almost wouldn't count Wind Waker and Link's Awakening, because in Wind Waker, you don't actually know where you are, and in Link's Awakening it isn't actually real. Well, kinda; I don't even know how to classify that. I would love another Zelda game that takes place in Eastern Hyrule, but I don't think it will ever happen. That and after Skyward Sword, Nintendo is going to have to work pretty hard to sell me another Zelda game.

I don't know how long I've been a member there, but I do know that it has been quite a few years; I signed up when I wrote my first walkthrough, which was for Legend of Dragoon. I was pretty regular at the Top 10 Board, but I eventually started spending more and more time here; I just love the community! Well, it's a gift and a curse; I'm going to be shackled to my oven this holiday season, baking up a storm. So far, it looks like peanut butter cookies with Nutella sauce, apple spice oatmeal cookies with icing, and pumpkin cookies with icing, with one extra blueberry crumb pie for a retiring coworker.

Text tsunami warning: (though if you've frequented the Top 10 Board, you're used to this from me)

Wind Waker was a dream come true for me; I'd long desired a game that had long periods of sailing endless ocean. You have your Dragon Warriors and your Final Fantasies, but sailing was far less than immersive in those due to the constant enemy encounters. I was about to settle for Uncharted Waters, which I would've hated, just to get my fix, and then... WIND WAKER! It's so beautiful, too; one of my favorite moments in the game was when it started raining near sunset and everything went from a sickly green to a mud brown, just like a rainy day. I'm usually a total chromophile, but I love rainy days for some reason. As for Adventure of Link, it's a very unique, action-packed adventure. It's a little clunky, sure, but the first game's combat is more awkward, because you can only attack directly in front of you, which doesn't work well against projectiles. The spells were a cool addition - though I would've preferred the cool items - and it's the only game in the entire series that features Eastern Hyrule, an interesting and beautiful new part of the kingdom. It's also one of the few that doesn't have Death Mountain as the northern end of the game; Hyrule is such a huge place, so you'd think that they'd let you explore more of it to keep things interesting. The game is also quite colorful, and expands upon the mythos of Hyrule, rather than relying on the same creatures, towns, and characters over and over again, like much of the rest of the series does. To summarize, it's one of the freshest entries in the series; even the overworld theme does use the Zelda theme, but changes it enough to make it unique. Actually, the whole soundtrack is pretty kickass, especially the palace themes.

You remember me from GameFAQs? My... I haven't been there for quite some time. To think that at one time, I was one of the most prolific Top 10 writers for the site... it almost seems like it happened in another life. Also cool that you've found Gaming Symmetry and have taken enough of an interest to follow me here! Thank you; gaming's only potential rival in my list of hobbies is cooking/baking, and I'm one of those hostesses that you see coming to the door with a big plate of cookies; it's kind of a big deal to me.

Ocarina of Time is good - probably in my top 5 Zelda games - but Wind Waker is my favorite, followed very closely by Adventure of Link. I guess next would be A Link to the Past, and then either Twilight Princess or Ocarina of Time. I grew up on Nintendo and Zelda, myself; in fact, my parents got me Dragon Warrior because it had swords and sorcery, hoping it would replace my obsession with Zelda, so they could finally get that overworld music out of their heads. Of course, all that did was get me to start speaking Elizabethan English around the house; it kinda backfired.

Welcome to the nightmare! Anything in particular catch your eye?

Also, I've noticed that your avatar is from one of my favorite Zelda games; A Link to the Past is fairly underrated, I feel.

I was working on 100% Hero Mode back in the spring after the game came out. Pippit's Archery Minigame made me not care anymore. The Wii Motion Plus swordplay worked awesome, but... archery should've used the IR sensor, just like Twilight Princess did.
