I finally got a Wii U and sent you a friend request on it. You'll no doubt not see it until it expires, so you should add me EpicOlson.

Hola, Magical Eyes was a pretty enjoyable mystery VN in my opinion. I liked the plot and characters and even this little "gameplay" bit in it where the game basically quizzes you to make sure you're reading lol. (If you get the questions all right then you get additional scenes).

With all that said people, including the devs, have been putting out estimates like 10-15 hours but it took me just about 4. I'm generally a fast reader but still! Not that it matters, as the mystery came to a conclusion and all that pretty satisfactorily. One thing to note is that this is just game one in an upcoming series. The next game, presumably, will feature the same cast solving a new mystery.

I have my severe insomnia to thank for my routine lol. But, when you take 5 classes each semester (3 online - 2 on campus) you tend to not be able to procrastinate that much. However there are times when I'll simply crash and sleep for a couple of days, it doesn't happen often though.

Heh thanks. I got it from a French blog although I can't remember the link of the top of my head.

Well, I guess it's my turn to thank you this time; I forgot I put Yoshi's Island and A Link to the Past on the backburner a few years ago and never went back to them. Thanks for reminding me about them! I just have to find them in my pile of cartridges.

Talking about patience.. I have very little when a game has a difficulty spike in certain areas. Heh.. If you intend on using emulators with the FE games then you will still be able to save whenever you want, just with save states; basically the same thing as with Virtual Downloads.

I don't usually get on either besides to add a game or update a status really quick, not much activity on here from me either really. Actually I play games at night and work/study during the day, so it works out well for me. I have the most free time to myself at night so that's when I play games as people don't bother me (which happens more than it should ). I can definitely see how overtime doesn't always work out with gaming.

The difficulty is the best part though! At least for me it is.. Getting to a save point on older games can be a chore but fun; I grew up playing those types of games for hours so I'm used to it. I rarely ever play my 3DS besides when I want to plug a few hours into Awakening, so, how are the Virtual games on the 3DS?

The earlier ones are definitely brutal, yet manageable. Yeah stick to OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) chargers for sure. After about 5 minutes of having mine plugged in I could smell a distinct burning scent and found out that my 3DS fried as well as the outlet...

Truth be told I haven't even started Arena yet lol. I was so stuck on P4 Golden that I just shelved my PS3 for a couple months and bought a PSTV specifically for Golden, although I beat it before the PSTV arrived. I'll start it up soon to get familiarized with the Controls, so when you're ready for some matches let me know on PSN as that's what I'm typically on now (My ID is underneath my username on here)

Almost took me a month to reply, finals and all

Yeah it's always nice to find shops that cater to various types of games. There were quite a few around my old hometown when I was younger but they started closing off as bigger corporations like walmart and target moved in. The most I've payed for and older game was $80, it was Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64, the pricing for it was cheap... Very cheap considering it was never opened and was in Mint condition. People play games that entertain them, don't force yourself to play retro if it doesn't entertain you, although it can be fun as hell challenging people that don't know how to play retro consoles.

Heh, Until Dawn.. It was a bit intentional and unintentional that the game was spoiled for me. It started as a Town Bar Hopping challenge that ended at a friends house where me and a couple others kept drinking and playing games for a few days since our classes were cancelled. Well.. I tried playing Dark Souls again the other day, got to the same point and failed miserably lol. Goddamn Capra Demon

Well Shadow Dragon is a remake of the first NES Fire Emblem game just with some tweaks so you don't really need to play the very first one. As far as the other ones go (the ones that have translation patches out) they're worth it in my book since I love the series. As for Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn.. I didn't pay anything for them, I had a friend that was moving over seas and had some games he didn't want to sell so I offered to take them from him.

I fried my 3DS accidentally by using a 3rd Party outlet charger. It's all good now since I got a replacement 3DS and the digital edition of FE: Awakening

Black Friday really isn't my thing. The only thing I bought this year was a PS+ membership card from walmart for $11 and that was AFTER the rush of the sales.

If you can, get Fallout 3 GOTY edition then move onto Fallout 4. New Vegas (according to a few die hard fans I know) should be the Sequel to Fallout 2 but it isn't, it was developed by a different studio: Obsidian Entertainment and doesn't tie into the storyline.

Edit: Just noticed you have Persona 4 Arena and Arena Ultimax listed. Do you still have them and play? If you do I ordered a copy of P4 Arena off amazon; It'll show up in a couple days. I have both copies now; If you still have both of them would you be up to some sessions sometime?

The movie is quite fun -- but someone made a game for it? I need to try that out lol.

Ha! Thanks, I felt old with the Niece first, now I have a nephew.

Yeah, I'm in a retro kind of mood right now and feel I will be for a while. There's a shop in another town that sells all sorts of games and consoles at low prices; the last time I was there they filled their stock of PS1 titles with over 100 games (If I remember my conversation with the owner correctly). But yeah you're right, they are really expensive. How much did you end up spending on Silent Hill if you don't mind my asking?

I just bought a PS2 and made a FMCB (Free MCBoot) memory card so I can backup all my old games that I sold to my brother; I'm about 1/3 through the backup process. I have another one on the way that I bought from a youtuber, that one I might just give to my brother.

Oh no worries about spoiling Until Dawn... I've already had the whole game spoiled. It's the same with me for horror games though, I can't do a single run without getting either over stressed or just freaked out. Pffft Dark Souls... I literally can't play that game; it made me too agitated and on edge when I tried playing it.

If playing the older FE games is part of your goal are you planning on playing fan translated roms of the NES titles?

As for the ones I've played; I've partially played a few of the NES ones back on emulators in high school, though never beat them, I beat FE - The Sacred Stones back in high school on my GBA, started Path of Radiance when it came out on the Gamecube but never got the chance to finish it since it was a rental, now I own it and plan on beating it, also picked up Shadow Dragon for the NDS and Radiant Dawn for the Wii, I did have Awakening at one point but the cartridge fried along with my 3DS a few months ago. That's about the extent of my history with the Fire Emblem Series.

Fallout 4 I'm really not sure about right now. I don't care about reviews or what people say about it as I am a Fallout fan. But I don't make enough each week to afford a PS4 right now, so it may be awhile before I end up getting the game as well as a PS4; I also keep buying more and more retro consoles. What about you?

You're welcome ! and sorry for the late reply. It is, she's my fav too
Love SMT series in general a lot. Have you tried SMT4 for the 3DS? If not, is great and worth to add to the backlog ^^

Cheers !

Ha, no worries. If you look at the section above your About Me you should see a 1 as well as a meter; when it goes around completely (exactly 1 year) it's your backlogiversary, some people call it the "Ring Day". You've been on here for a bit over 1 year now so your backlogiversary has already gone by.

I've been good. I'm an Uncle two times now as of today, which makes me and my brother feel older than we do. I picked up a 1st Generation PS1 for a couple bucks and can't figure out what games I should get for it.

Glad to see you enjoyed Until Dawn. Are there a lot of different endings or just a few? Also I don't know if I would be able to enjoy it myself, as I can't really seem to get into Horror games; Horror movies I love and will watch anytime, games not so much.

How have you been?

**Fav Series: Fire Emblem - NICE!
