We need to have this talk more often… First, Death’s Door ends up being a PS+ Freebie, now Sea of Stars is on sale for Switch! Hmmm.

What do you think of Sea of Stars? It’s been in my sights for a while now and I enjoyed the (roughly) ten minutes I played of the demo. In that short time, it felt more like Wild Arms to me than Crono Trigger, which was a surprise.

Missing that PSN sale paid off for once, by the way! Death’s Door ended up being a freebie a few months later. It so rarely happens that way…

I once bought the originals in a Black Isle Collection box, and it included the two Baldur's Gates with their expansions and the two Icewind Dales with the first one's expansion. Why buy new versions if I own these, I thought, so I played those.

No idea what the Enhanced Editions add, to be honest, probably Quality of Life improvements. Maybe I'll try my hand at those one day, maybe not... I have too many RPGs to play ahead of me, and not enough time, I'd wager...

The party banter in BG2 is cool, but I liked it just as much in BG1, especially when people of different alignment were in the same party. That never lasted long though...

I went with the "canon" party for BG1 in the end because of this, and finished the game with the hero, Jaheira, Khalid, Minsc, Dynaheir and Imoen. I am now playing with basically the same party, minus Dynaheir and Khalid for obvious reasons plus Nalia and Aerie. Liking the back and forth in general between the characters, but with so many companions to chose from, I am surely missing out a lot by going with the "same olds". But I like them, so.... also, you cannot not go with Imoen I guess. Before getting her back I had Yoshimo. That... well... went well.... as you know.

I will try to go for Throne of Bhaal but I have read some things that didn't completely spoil me but gave me hints at things to come and I was.. not amazed. But I'll just try to get going with it, BGIII and Icewind Dale are waiting. Imagine Larian doing Icewind Dale III? That could be cool!

But I'll have to take it slowly with the RPGs, I can't play too many at the same time, I notice fatigue after a while...

Hello there, long time no chat!

It is my first time playing Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn, I played the original some years ago and I had hoped I would finish this play through before the release of Baldur's Gate III but... as you can see, I failed. I am liking it, it improved some things from the first game, but also has a lot of the same problems, and actually, some more shortcomings. I like the characters and that they continue the story from the first one, but I miss the free-roaming aspect of the first game.

Also, there is so much to do! Damn! I am in the Underdark and I hope I am getting closer to the end, but somehow I have the impression it never ends!

Still, as a DM, I really like being able to play D&D also on my PC.

How is the Enhanced Edition? Worth the replay?

Yeah, there's some cool cards in there. I've come across a few people with LOTR commanders. Yeah I feel you when it comes to it being a money sink. Not as bad as some other hobbies, I've been told, but it's easy to spend a decent amount of money on. That's kind of why I switched to TTS.

Oh yeah, speaking of that, Post Malone bought "The One Ring" for $2.6M. If you want to talk about a money sink it's honestly remarkable how much some of these luxury cardboard rectangles go for lol.

Never heard of it before. I'll have to try it out. I have over 200 hours but most of that is from playing random games with friends. Like Smash-Up and Munchkin. As well as Magic obviously.

I've been playing Magic: the Gathering. Commander format specifically. It's something I used to play all the time, but kind of fell away from it, so I'm trying to get back into it!

I'm actually thinking of selling Wild Arms Alter Code F if it means I can get my hands on Wild Arms 5 (which I never got). I'm fine playing the original game if ACF nets me $150.

Yeah I loved Ni No Kuni 1 more, but II was alright. It was good but not great, fun but not enjoyable if that makes sense.
