Herald of Bak'laag: 500+ unfinished games
Treasure Hunter: 1000+ games
Poisoned: 3+ new games in a row
(Happy new year to you too!)

Yeah, CAVE is mostly specialized in bullet hell style game, but it also has some platformers and i think some visual novel under its name, even though some of them (like one called Instant Brain) never went outside of japan and i never ever saw anyone else talk about stuff from Cave which isn't a 2d spaceship shooter of some sort.

Fair enough, i'm not gonna tell you what to play videogames, that would be stupid. And elitist, and wrong. I guess i'm a lil' pissed at the direction the mobile market went, it had amazing potential, but i can't deny that most look down on it by default and there are quite a lot of reason to do that.

Yep, we do take a lot of liberties on defyning what space is "parking space", quite a lot. I joke, but it's infuriating even more since i really don't like using cars, would prefer a saddled ostrich a lot more. XD

Didn't consider that, but yeah, it would be a wanking time, all the time, i guess, an endless choir of the sound effects of walking in Amazing Frog. XD

More than buying a series of anime or mangas more than once, it's the merchandise where the money is. I mean, of course fans are most likely to drop a lot of cash for a limited edition or blu-rays and stuff, and that is - of course - not small cash, but since now it's more easy than ever to just see what you want regardless if you wanna pay for it or not, companies tend to bank a lot more on figures and assorted stuff based on the series.

I mean, they could already have seen the series and for free, but if you want a figma or whatever you're gonna necessarily have to pay it. Which isn't a great thing since i feel more series nowadays are made just to make fans wanna buy a figurine of the protagonist "since she/he is cute". And the recent trend to adapt card games or popular anime-style or anime based smarthphone games into actual anime series.. doesn't help, so to say.

Suicide Squad isn't completely cancerous or anything, but i feel kinda bad for anyone looking forward for it, given the actual movie we got. There are some small parts which are enjoyable, but the fact that you can dissect some bits of it to enjoy without context... i wouldn't call it a thing in its favor.

We'll see what Wonder Woman has to offer us next, i guess. Though, i'm interested in the Acquaman movie, since James Wan will direct it and would be amazing if that one really turned out to be good. XD

Gonna watch "The Entertainer" with Branagh tomorrow, actually.

What's that I hear? It's Staaaaaarlight! Starlight callin'! [Link] That's no problem at all; you take care of yourself first, always. I'm sorry for your loss.

I think it has something to do with the majority of anime fans liking youthful looking characters; they draw teenagers and say that they're in their 20s or 30s. And that's fine, but not usually my thing. Girls are cute and all, but I like a woman. I especially prefer older men over boys; most don't start looking attractive to me unless they're in their 40s or 50s. That said, I do have a thing for younger punk boys. Something like this, I suppose [Link] That's about as young-looking as I'll go.

None of those genres interest me. I just looked through the system library right now, and I saw Adventures of Mana and Chaos Rings. Adventures of Mana is a very direct remake of a game that I already have that both looks and sounds better on the old Game Boy; the GBA remake, Sword of Mana, did a better job of colorizing it, giving it new music, and making it like a new game. This Vita version takes a step backward, using generic orchestral music and ugly low-poly models. The original Game Boy version actually looked really good in monochrome; it gave the whole game a neat, dreamlike feel. Chaos Rings looks like it's basically Final Fantasy 8, but I have that, too, and Squenix fucking sucks at writing a story, so there's that. I've been playing a lot of GBA remakes of old Final Fantasy games lately, and the new content occasionally has some interesting dungeon designs - I really have to hand it to them - but any time new story elements have to be added, they're just bad. Oh, and World of Final Fantasy seems like it might be neat, but I can get that on PS4, which has a handful of other games that I might like, so I think I'll pass on the Vita.

Don't think puzzle like in Tetris, because I don't like those, either; it's more like something you'd run into in a Zelda or a JRPG dungeon. It's nothing you couldn't solve with a walkthrough, if you're really stumped.

It's not necessarily a bad choice to have the Hyper Beam kill you, because it's so fucking powerful; that makes a good risk/reward system. What's a bad design choice is leaving the player with absolutely no fucking idea how it kills you, essentially making it a game of Russian Roulette every time you need to use it, which is against just about every boss.

I'm definitely in the wrong profession; I just don't know what the right one would be. All my life, I've been good at a lot of things, but I've never been great at anything.

That whole waifu thing drives me up a fucking wall. Can't we just enjoy a character because she's well-written? Terra Branford from Final Fantasy 6 is one of my favorite characters of all time, because she's just a hybrid girl - a woman of 2 worlds, tearing at her from both sides - trying to find her identity and to learn to love through all of the use and abuse she's been through. She's a deep, extremely well-written character whose life is an eerie parallel to my own; I never once thought about screaming over a forum that she's my pretend wife or fucking her. Popular media does not exist for the sole purpose of shitty slash fiction.

That's really all it is, and in 50 years, I'm sure we'll have a new word for it again. An old saying goes that those who don't know their history are doomed to repeat it, but I'd take that one step further: those who don't know their history are doomed to not even know that they're repeating it. You see kids today absolutely in love with all this shit in our culture, but most of it's just recycled from the '80s and '90s; that's not even that long ago! I lived through both of those miserable decades, too; they really weren't better times.

And you!

I do like the "theathre at the cinema" thing some distribution companies are doing here, we have an upcoming trio of Shakespeare plays with Kenneth Branagh for november to early january, and having the option to watch A Winter's Tale without traveling to the Royal Opera House is quite cool, and doesn't require the reselling of used kidneys.

Oh, btw, can i ask you a favor? Could you please change the color scheme of the theme, it's killing my eyes, not joking, it's abrasive for the sight.
Prepare for the worst, expect nothing, and hope you survive the day.
