Yeah, I've been waiting for it to go on a good sale.. When I woke up today and saw it at 50% off for $23 on STEAM, I couldn't help myself... I also picked up the expansion pack for $15.. I was so close to caving in and paying the full price of $45 for it last week, so now I'm pretty stoked that I ended up waiting I've got 30 more minutes for the expansion to finish installing, then I'm going to jump right in!

I was refreshing my backlog after being gone for a year and a half and I saw you mentioned Person of Interest, a show I hadn't seen much of at the time.

I have now seen Seasons 1-3 and holy pantsu this show is amazing. I've seen a few episodes of Season 4 too but not the whole thing, yet. I'm sure I'll get to it soon though.

Ah man, I feel like you might have liked if you'd have sticked with it a little longer. Fun Fact: you can actually adjust the random encounter rate (either -100% (no enemies), -50%, 0% (normal), +50%, or +100%) so that probably would've helped you out a bit. The battle system also really only shines in boss battles, though it also has the effect of making random enemy encounters into one turn affairs since you can brave 4 times with your attackers and have a reasonable expectation of killing all the random encounter folk assuming you're at a high enough level.

Sorry for assuming you were at the same part I was in my last comment lol But yeah, despite those issues with the endgame I mentioned I think it's a pretty solid RPG

Gah, my BD feelings are mixed. The part I was mainly sour about was the ambiguity after the 'twist.' As a pretty completion oriented player to give me a sequence of parallel worlds with almost entirely similar sidequests to complete really rubbed me the wrong way when I was never totally sure if I would ever miss anything and I wasn't entirely sure how to progress the story to (either) end. That said, I thought that the 2 new 'post-game' sidequests were well done and leveling up the jobs became fun once I got the first ending and wrapped my head around how everything was working. I think the game would've been much better had I been forced to get the first ending after the twist and assured that I wouldn't miss anything by doing that right away. As it was there was a lot of confused padding before I got to a point where I was happy to putz around getting job exp. I admire the narrative intent and the amount of backstory, but think it could've been done better. Battle system is fun though So yeah, mixed feelings

Ah, well that definitely explains your lack of activity then I'm sure you'll be able to figure things out.. I've got faith in you Pixelman!!

I've been good.. I decided to take the summer break off from school this year, so I've been able to catch up on quite a few games, books, and shows that I've been meaning to get to.. Which is always nice... But honestly, I'm looking forward to going back in August haha
