Former Members of the Week

Every weekend, we pick a new Member of the Week. Do you want to be a Member of the Week? These are the rough guidelines that you should follow:

Avatar, banner, and color scheme

Every Member of the Week should have an avatar, a custom banner, and a custom color scheme. Your color scheme doesn't have to be best ever, but it at least needs to be pleasing enough as to not burn out the eyes. It may be possible to become Member of the Week if you lack one of these elements, but don't hold your breath.

Master runs

It's much, much easier to become Member of the Week with zero Master runs than it is to get there by abusing the Mastered status. What's a bad Master run? Stuff like, "my most favoritest game evar!", "100% complete!", "I played this game SO much!" are nice and all, but are not Master runs. Acceptable Master runs usually involve some sort of self-imposed handicap (lowest health, weakest equipment, etc.) or a speed run. Although it doesn't fall under the usual criteria, if you get perfect rankings (S-rank, platinum medals, etc.) and just have to call it a Master run, we probably won't count it against you.

How do we notice you?

We usually stumble upon Member of the Week candidates by looking through the Latest Updates on the main page. In other words, the more active you are, the more likely we are to see you. Having a good network of friends helps too, because as we look at other people's pages, we often click through their comments or friend lists.

Be clever. Do you need a lot of games? No. Does it matter if your collection is 96% Unfinished? Not at all. Do you need hundreds of Master runs? No! If you give your page a coat of paint, make some friends, and don't act like a jerk, you're definitely a candidate.
