Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
If anything, with Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, I'll probably attempt to figure out how to transfer my Vita save to the PS3. Maybe, hopefully, that would fix the crashing issue. I'm sure that I will be tempted by the game and feel up to it again, just not anytime soon!

Yeah, that was probably a good idea, putting Xenoblade down for a bit. It's not usually good to force things... And this way, you get to play something that you are enjoying! Hopefully, you will be able to get back into it eventually and left off somewhere easy to start up from again.

I assume that you are still enjoying Dragon Quest VII, considering it is still listed in your Now Playing. Even if it has been a few days since you updated it.

You also must be feeling better, being back to Mass Effect 2 and having your power cord to the PC back. Have you managed to pass the point where you lost your save data yet?

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Thank you!

Well damn, I didn't even think of doing that... Back-tracking to the nearest typewriter in my Resident Evil 3: Nemesis to save, THEN attempt opening the doors that lead to game crashing! I'd still have to take the hit from the first time, of course. I'm an idiot for redoing everything, over and over, and not saving before a known of, possible crash!

So far, it crashed three times at this most recent door, and then I stopped playing. I'm afraid that it's a permanent bug and is always going to crash. The previous "bad" doors usually worked by the third attempt... I think I may give it one more try, before ending this batch of eight.

Anyway. There must not be a lot of DLC for Spirit of Justice? Two more days worth of playing sounds like a pretty quick and easy complete. Still though, very nice!

Diablo does gobble up time! There's so much to do that you can spend hours playing it, yet feel like you've accomplished nothing. I'm not even certain of what I want to focus on and do, always playing a different character. None of them have been seasonal yet.

Spoiler, but not really? I have a feeling that this reply is going to end up a bit lengthy...

That's too bad about your video card. Good thing that you were able to get a replacement on the way so quickly! It's a shame that your Mass Effect save couldn't be restored as easily, or at all even. Were you a decent ways in?

I was slightly tempted by Xenoblade Chronicles 3D after getting the New 3DS, but went with Hyrule Warriors Legends instead. Xenoblade reminded me a little too much of Monster Hunter for now, which seems a bit too open-ended for me. I might still give it a try down the road, though...

And lastly, Happy Belated BL'iversary! I completely missed and forgot about mine.

Yeah, it's no biggie. Resident Evil 3 has been waiting for so long already, making it wait a bit longer isn't going to make much of a difference! I must admit that I am a bit saddened by it not running well on the Vita though... Maybe I'll try again around next Halloween, but on the PS3 this time?

When I looked it up on HowLongToBeat(dot)com, it listed it as around seven to eight hours. Or at least that's what it says in my BL note for the game. I took an average between beat and completion times, I think. So you doing it in five and a half hours is pretty decent!

About Steins;Gate, I'm happy that I mentioned it to you since it might be something your interested in. I'm curious because I was told that it is a bit dark in story and I normally love that! I still have to look into it myself, probably watch some videos of it, but there is no hurry to do so...

Congrats on the Spirit of Justice completion! Does that mean you got and finished the DLC for the game as well?

Lastly, since I'm attempting to keep comments shorter than usual - Happy New Year!

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
I have a feeling that my attempt at Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is going to be a failure. There really hasn't been any interest in picking it up again, not in a long while...

It'd probably be in my best interest to steer clear from visual novels. They don't sound like something that I would have the patience for. At least not with Ace Attorney. The law theme isn't really my cup of tea.

What about that Steins;Gate? Have you experienced that title at all yet? It was suggested to me a while back by a fellow BL'er.

Otherwise, I think TellTale is about as close as I'll get to a visual novel... I don't have much interest in that Michonne title. I would think that I'd prefer being a character that is not directly involved with the television series. I've never been a big fan of it, but I'm surely stoked for a Season Three of the video game series!

And I see that you did manage to beat Xenosaga 3 before December - very nice! Hopefully it was worth the time that you invested in it. I'm sure it was, or you wouldn't have gone all the way, right?

Now, on to Ace Attorney, I see! Is it living up to your expectations? It also appears that Dragon Quest VII is ready and waiting for your attention as well.

Shame about the "four day weekend." At least you managed to get some gaming time in! A bigger paycheck in the long run too.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
You lost me on the "non-zero" word usage about Resident Evil 3 crashing. Did you mean none to zero times on the PS1? When I played it on the PS1, and I believe I made it pretty far, it didn't crash at all. I wonder if it crashes on the PS3?

If I'm able to continue it, I plan on evading Nemesis as much as possible too. I'm not very quick on my feet in that game either. If I'm forced to resort to the knife, it is most likely game over for me...

It's difficult to say how I am with visual novels. Normally, I would think that they'd become hard to stay interested in. Too much reading in comparison to the little interaction that I assume they would have, very little "live-action."

Would you consider TT's The Walking Dead and 999 visual novels? I really like The Walking Dead series (note: game only). 999 was great for the puzzles, especially the numbers game, and the story was enjoyed up until it got a little too complicated for me. By the end of it, I didn't really know what was going on... Still had fun playing it though!

Still working on that Xenosaga I see! Is that all you have left to do, collect three more blue orbs? Or probably at least one more boss after that... Get them orbs! You'll be even closer to defending those clients.

I hope that the four day weekend went well!

It felt great going into Oswald after Mercedes! I still prefer Cornelius to the others. That berserk mode of Oswald's is awesome, but I have a hard time controlling his movement sometimes during.

I'm finished with Oswald now, started Velvet recently... I was looking forward to her most of all. So it figures that she'd be last in the line up. She was my favorite from the demo. So far, so good!

Now, I get to look forward to learning what those blocks in the story sub-menu are. The ones that are underneath each characters' individual story line. I'm most curious about what those are all about (don't tell me)...

Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is being a stinker. With the game crashing, it's been difficult to make any progress. The last time I played, I did quite a bit of stuff. About an hours worth. And then the game crashed! I haven't really wanted to play since... It seems like it's when an FMV, or w/e they're called, is about to play and/or after opening a door.

Otherwise, I like it so far,. Even if it is far too easy! To make up for that, I'm restricting myself to using the handgun only. There's only been a couple shotgun shells fired off so far. If had planned on fighting Nemesis every time, I might have considered Hard. I don't plan on facing Nemesis, ever, unless I have to. He's terrifying to me! Especially if the game might crash after surviving him, before saving...

That sounds like a good plan. Any progress is good progress, even if it is slow! Which one do you think you'll get first, Spirit of Justice or Dragon Quest VII? Or are you pretty set on Spirit of Justice following soon?

I have never attempted to play an Ace Attorney title. The artwork is pretty neat looking, but it just doesn't seem like my cup of tea. Which is sad, considering how popular it seems to be!

Only read this when you're done with Xeno 3, I now don't remember at all where in the game this scene plays (it's not relevant to the story, but still something you should see on your own). There's this scene which takes place in Earth history, where basically chaos is Jesus and TELOS is Mary of Magdala. Kinda. I thought that was cool.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Your hopes have come true, I am enjoying PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate! It reminds me a bit of H.E.R.O., which I always liked to play. I recently realized that the Ultimate title contains both the first, and second, title. Not sure how though, I haven't found anything in-game that pertains to the sequel.

Currently, I'm ready to start the third chapter of the game. Before I do so, I was wanting to find the two missing treasures from the second chapter. I had no issues finding them all in the first chapter, but it's more difficult in the second. So I've currently found myself in front of a hurdle! I might have to look them up, as much as I'd like to do it without help...

You're welcome! It feels great, finally finishing a game that's been left untouched for so long. Especially if you had to go back and restart it from scratch. Good luck with Tales of Phantasia! Are you going to be starting that one over from the beginning? I can't remember if you did with Riviera, or not...

Hopefully, you'll soon be back under 100 unfinished games. That "Minion of Bak'laag" badge is a good thing to dispose of. With Dragon Age Origins and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D though, you might have quite the work load ahead of you!

Thank you, for reminded me again of how the save bug works in Virtue's Last Reward. That's the third time, at least, that you have told me. I'm going to save it in my game notes soon after this.

Mercedes is still a pain in the rear to fight with. It's all a timing thing. I somehow manage to turn the opposite direction, and then begin attacking the wrong way, pretty often. Messes up everything and I sometimes die! It can become annoying after multiple, so close, failed attempts at bosses because of it.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
You're welcome! Good thing for tape! It still had to of been a pain to play with a broken hinge though... Are you tempted by the newest Shiren the Wanderer title on Vita (maybe PS4) now?

I ended up with a Riviera title from PSN for PSP. Someone on BL explained the combat, but I can no longer remember who... Or how the combat worked. Tried it out, but only played it for a couple of minutes since it wasn't able to pull me in quite yet. It's not even listed on my BL anymore. Shh!

Congrats on beating it, by the way!

It does sound like there is a lot to Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, from what I've heard. Definitely one of those games that requires some commitment. Never good to attempt playing two of those kind at once! Someday, I'd like a New 3DS to play it as well. Good luck with that!

And speaking of Zero Time Dilemma, I must ask again... What type of rooms should you avoid saving in to avoid the bug in Virtue's Last Reward on 3DS? I finally got around to replacing my Vita copy, but accidentally deleted my note when removing it from the wish list.

For some reason, I find it difficult to want to play Tales of Phantasia. It makes me think that I'm just not a Tales... fan, that they just had a one hit wonder - Tales of Destiny. Couldn't get into Hearts R on Vita and the other newer titles I've looked at don't look very appealing. I do hope that you enjoy it though! Perhaps that would be enough to get me wanting to play it?

I've been playing PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate lately, as a break from Odin Sphere L. Currently, I'm just a couple of chapters into Mercedes' story and I don't like her play style as much as the others. I'll probably get back to it after finishing up Chapter 2 in PJ Shooter U, then finish up Mercedes so I'm done with her. From there, who knows!? Another chapter of PJ Shooter U, probably...

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
I have been doing well with Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, thanks for noticing! It's been a while since I updated my BL. I'm a bit further than it states, nearly finished with Cornelius' story. Progress is slow, but steady. Usually finishing a chapter every two-three days, depending on how beastly the bosses are.

So far, I really like it! Not sure if I like it more than Dragon's Crown, it's been some time since I beat that one. I do remember it being faster-paced than OS L...

Never played the PS2 version, so I can't really say which is better - PS2 or Vita. They did fix the slowdown you spoke of! Or at least I haven't noticed any lag terrible enough to lessen the game play. Very happy to hear that they fixed that, because there really is a LOT of enemies on the screen at once sometimes! Other than that, and the alchemy, I don't know what all was changed/added...

Still happy with the hard difficulty. There have been some bosses to tempt me into going back to easy/normal, but I stuck with it and succeeded! The amount of challenge is pretty good, only slightly frustrating and offensive language invoking. Not even half way into the game yet though, so we'll see if that changes in the future...

I've been meaning to leave a comment for quite some time, about Mystery Dungeon: StW, but am always so behind on replies. First, I noticed that you got around to starting it and was curious if you liked it. Now, it's beaten... Has been for a long time. So, a belated congratulations!

I hope that it was enjoyable! I still have to get to it eventually, just not quite ready yet... Start it, but never continue beyond the first town! Are you interested in the new title that released? Noticed it on PSN a while ago, not sure if it's available on a Sony console.

Congrats on the New 3DS too! I'm really starting to want one of those lately... So bad. Which model/color did you get?

How do most all of my replies always end up so long?! Sorry...

Finished the procedure of replacing my broken 3DS with a New 3DS and transferring its data, so I'm back to business on that handheld as well - and up one on the backlog, as siara79 slipped Xenoblade Chronicles 3D into the package also. I suppose it's mandatory if you've got a New 3DS...

Your English is beautiful, man. How have you acquired the skill to weave and thread words like that?
I myself am biased towards Old English prose and diction; contemporary English can be a beauty as well but hard to master considering how saturated our generation is with uneducated slang and pure laziness.

It must have been Zephyr... I never notice any names of enemies that I'm fighting, since I usually have the map screen showing. Thanks for the helpful suggestions! It turns out that I just wasn't drawing the seal fast enough...

I remember us talking about The Walking Dead S1 before, since we both chose the same final words of wisdom. Funny, of the two people I've asked, so far I'm the only one that decided to hack off Lee's arm.

More than likely, I'll save SMT IV: Apocalypse for a while. It'll most likely sit on the shelf for a bit if I happened to add it sooner than later. It's Odin Sphere Leifthrasir that I want most, currently.

Nice, half-way point! Everything is (usually) downhill from here... I would have an issue too, with the consumables. In nearly every game I play, they are pretty much reserved for boss fights, and emergencies, only - it saved my ass plenty in Vagrant Story recently.

Sadly, it's currently technically impossible to get the final achievements in Adventure Capitalist. Before the last update, someone did the math on how much idle time would be needed at max boost level (that includes using real money to buy boots) and the total time came to, and I'm serious here, more years that the current suspected age of the universe times two. An update months later cut that down very slightly, it's still up there.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
SMT IV: Apocalypse will release here in late September, on the 20th I think... It's listed on GameStop already. I would like to add it shortly after release! Looks like I finished SMT IV at just the right time. How convenient.

In the Bravely Second demo, I'm still at the very beginning. Not one battle fought! Stopped playing after unlocking the job selection screen. For some reason, the dialogue bits are making it difficult to get into. I'm in no hurry to get the sequel though, so it will probably be a long while before I get into the demo.

I see that you beat Xenosaga 2 before April ended, like you had hoped. Very nice! And on to the third, once finished with Dragon Age: Origins? Good luck with that one then. You must be liking the Xenosaga titles quite a bit!

It almost sounds like Mass Effect would be more liked than Fallout. Perhaps it's a title to try getting the other half into? Not boring and slow-moving like he thought Fallout 3 was... He loved and played the hell out of Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Dragon Age sounds interesting too, though I don't really get into Western RPGs like I used to. If it's similar to Skyrim, it might be another that the other half could get in to. How is your adventure coming along?

It sounds like Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam could be a title that I'd be interested in! Back in the day, I really liked Super Mario RPG, but could never get beyond the "Power Rangers" boss battle. I will surely be looking into Paper Jam more, some day.

Thank you! I really liked Vagrant Story by the time the credits rolled. I always knew it'd be one of my favorites, once I finally beat it... Sixteen years later! Funny thing is, I went right back and started New Game+ and I rarely ever do that. Nearly ready to beat it again, hopefully with 100% map/chests this time.

I never really discovered much of a method for fighting monsters/bosses in the game, though... Didn't even know that your RISK can decide what attacks are used on you! My timing for defending against spells is terrible, but I do okay against physical attacks. So Magic Ward is my best friend, blocking most magic attacks.

Nearly out of room, so I guess I'll end this here.
It's breaking. Little by little.
