That's pretty much what I thought of Devil Summoner. The gameplay and core SMT mechanics were fun but the fetch quests and almost non-sensible crap they make you do to advance the (lol) plot just lessened the amount of fun I had with it. Symphony of the Night is pretty good though Dunno about some fans regarding it as the best game ever but eh whatever. Still it is fun to have variety in mah Castlevania games and the metroidvania style is welcome. Just wish they didn't go into the anime look with Dawn of sorrow ![]() Oh and I don't know if you know anyone with a Wii but there is a demo of Miles Edgeworth on there and I thought the way they handled investigating was great. Granted it was only one room to investigate so I don't know if later on it will become more convoluted. I am planning on picking up Trials and Tribulations, Apollo Justice, and Edgeworth whenever possible. Next few months shall be wallet killers for sure. ![]()

Yeah, the AI is at least somewhat smart. Though there are still problems, like them attacking something that should really be hit with a spell or whatever. They're also really stupid about knocking people over. They're less common now, but the threat of RRoD is still quite real. But yeah, waiting for it to get real cheap is probably the best if you're gonna get one.

You're right, it's all semantics. I'm just glad it's over for now. Oh wow, congrats then! I've never had bigger problems with my weight (thankfully), so I can only imagine how much work it took. Haha, yeah, the fifth case is crazy long. But that's because it was made exclusively for the DS. Hope you'll like it anyway and that you'll play other games too. I adore them all.

Eh if there was more effort put into updating the game I might've liked it. But I will say that the art and music were pretty dang good. I just hated the aiming at random mech parts and some other aspects of the gameplay. Also; you ready to spend as much time on the fifth case as you did the rest of the game combined? How is Devil Summoner treating ya? ![]()

Yes I did! Cielo is constantly in my party now and Gale has Mutual Karma. I had some problems with Sera though, but it should be fine. Heyy to you too! How have you been? And how do you like your first PW game?

Yeah, it's pretty fun, I do like how you have to balance your character's personal life with the exploration. Though I've managed to avoid most sticky battle situations by just sticking Yukari/Akihiko/whoever on Heal/Support. Seems to work well enough. Probably cheaper to upgrade your PC, also then you don't have to deal with the dreaded RRoD or the shitty ass DVD drive that eats discs. Dunno how it plays on PC though.

I finally get your theme! When I first saw it I was like: "Huh, wonder what that means." But now that I've played P3, I know what it means... FFFFFF

Meh, mandatory grinding is the biggest turn-off of them all. I hate it when a game starts to feel like a job. I'm currently playing Xenogears, 27h and no need for wasting time on additional battles as yet. Let's see how it works out.

I think I'm above a half dozen! Five Personas, three mainlines, 2 DDS's, Devil Survivor...that probably counts as a full on addiction! Gotta grab the Devil Summoner games next.

Oh yeah. When Phoenix and Miles begin tossing objections back and forth? Freaking epic. The new Miles Edgeworth game hopefully makes the investigation process more fun as it looks like it focuses on it a bit more seeing as you work with Gumshoe. Just a tip though you can suspend the game almost at any point and starting the suspend file doesn't erase it (like in Devil Survivor). So if you are like me and get freaking tired of reading the exact same dialog over and over again and losing 30 minutes of progress due to a clue you forgot or something just use that trick to make it bearable. Though I wish I didn't have to resort to that but the save points are stretched faaaar too apart IMO. Yeah I am pretty much spending far too much time with my DS now a days. Though I am playing with the idea of selling my 60 gig PS3 to pick up a PS2 and a Slim PS3. Just so I can play more PS2 games w/o heating up my room during the summer or ramping up the electric bill.

I'm pretty sure the new Miles Edgeworth game will take place before Apollo Justice. There's a big time jump between Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice that needs to be accounted for. Other than that, yeah, you're on the money. There's really only one marginally bad case in the series (Case 3 of JFA), so other than that, hopefully you enjoy the games.

Let me know how Lament of Innocence is because I still don't know if I should buy it or not. Yet again, I'm having bit of a hard time actually finding a copy without resorting to online. I pretty much have Rondo of Blood apart from getting 1-2 of the musical pieces. I loved replaying the game as Maria and I think I was able to get through it in about an hour with her. I love how she plays like... a non-cripple. Sliding, double jump, and spamming two doves at once FTFW!!! I am listening to the Curse of Darkness OST finally and its pretty good. At first, I really did not like the "battle" theme that would play when you were enclosed in a room: [Link] but I really began to enjoy listening to it by the end when I was kicking serious ass. I still think Abandoned Castle is my favorite tune, although I don't think any are bad. Last night, I started DMC3. I find it excellent thus far and SUCH an improvement over the first. Now I am curious how the game play evolved in DMC2. I mapped the control scheme similar to DMC1 because I am used to it. I am only on mission 6 but I could tell that I'm really going to enjoy it. I may try to beat it by this weekend because another backlogger is sending me both Bayonetta and Darksiders, both of which should be here next week (him sending me Bayonetta was a big reason why I invested time/money in the DMC series). EDIT!!!! While we are talking about Rondo of Blood, how did you enjoy the OST? I thought it was excellent. I am amazed how well Michiru Yamane has composed all of these Castlevanias yet continues to produce great work. I really enjoyed Vampire Killer: [Link] and Divine Bloodlines: [Link] although they are both remixes. Both of them make me want to whip everything in sight. ![]()

I actually beat 10 games over my break! I enjoyed Curse of Darkness, especially towards the end where I finally got some awesome innocent devils and Hector was strong enough where I did not have to heal constantly (having a Fairy with heal level 4 helped vastly instead of using one with that stupid gold heal). I think the soundtrack was fantastic along with the graphics. The game play was decent enough. I played a bit with Trevor and I wouldn't mind playing through it again as him. Too bad he doesn't move faster than Hector. ![]() The other game I beat is Gunstar Heroes but that's rather short... Anyways, I'll probably play Devil May Cry 3 next. But now.... I need to be a person and do things with my time. Oh geez. How'd you like Rondo of Blood? I thought playing as Maria was so much more fun. I pretty much the game except for gathering a few music pieces (I could probably get them easily, though). Remember to save the maidens. I will have to get Lament of Innocence one of these days just cuz.
