Man, it sounds like I have quite a grind to look forward to!

I'll probably just get all "hypothetical" story stars in story mode and play Ambition mode and unlock as many mounts as I can.

Then I'll see how much left and decide if I'll do the rest, like you said 100% a Musou game is a nightmare.

Frankly, I just want to get Sun Shang Xiang as high leveled as I can and run amok!

Since she marries Liu Bei I assume I have to play his campaign too to level her up a little before tackling ambition mode.

There are more and more companies trying to get Japanese Doujin games and we slowly getting more and more of them like Corpse Party and thanks to Nyu Media [Link] we are getting more and more doujin games translated and on Steam.

I've heard the Touhou DOESN'T want to be released out of Japan.

Well, it's mostly the dungeon design so far. The first game is specially frustrating in the first game when you have to use a torch and can barely see. But most early RPGs had terrible dungeon design...

And by terrible dungeon design, it's hard to tell where you are, were you were and were you should go.

By contrast the Sailor Moon RPG is the polar opposite and has terrible design because it's too simple, imagine climbing a tower where each level is just a pair of stairs...

So, I don't like dungeons that are either too boring or too confusing? Well, I don't mind having a crazy dungeon if it's a special one or the final one, but that's about it.


Ugh, I remember that I had to spend a few days setting the right region to each game, I was new and didn't know it would set them all to the same region by default.

I remember having trouble with some Japanese games I got from the JPN PSN store, where my Japanese wasn't good enough to read the kanji of a game and it was a nightmare to find out it's English name... And the PSN system is a mess here... Since they keep adding new sections making the ones I have before no longer valid... I have many PSOne Classics as PSN games since that "system" didn't exist when I added them.

Thankfully I survived the Steampocalypse unscathed and my backlog is empty enough that I've started to play fan translation of older games.

The first two Dragon Quests didn't hold up as well as I thought, hopefully I'll enjoy DQ III more.
