Far Cry 2
Started over again using a self-imposed 'hardcore' set of rules. At this rate, the game will take approximately 30 years to complete.

Torchlight
Right up to a particularly nervewracking event, I constantly played this game. Now that the event is done, it holds a lot less fascination for me.

Atom Zombie Smasher
Brought this sucker back out for a week, had a dang ball with it, too. Great balance between depth and ease of play, and still hard as hell.

Fantastic game experience, nice balance, tough enough, unique visuals, sounds, and humor. Minus one star, since it lacks the staying power I feel it deserves.

Crawl may be the best and most advanced roguelike currently in active development, but I harbor hopes that the next couple of years will bring a newcomer to the shores, with a richer world in the vein of ADOM, but with the accessibility and development momentum of Crawl. For now, though, if you must play the best roguelike around, Crawl's on your list.
