Sonic Adventure
67/130 Emblems | Some of these requirements are really tight!

Updated about 15 hours ago

☆★★★★ Sonic's true 3D Adventure on the Sega Dreamcast, what a game and as well what a mess indeed. It isn't a perfect game by no means especially today there is better 3D Sonic games including an updated port of this game for the GameCube, there is an HD Version but it comes at a cost of some additional new problems. Never the less this game may have some problems especially with Amy's Campaign, it's still a classic still worth playing.

Minion of Bak'laag: 100+ unfinished games
Taking some time today and maybe a bit tomorrow to correct my Backloggery! Will be adding games I've previously use to own that I'll be collecting again later on from the past or recently that I've before or just never gotten around to them to play before.

They will be mostly marked with a formally owned ghost icon on my Backloggery if it's games I use to own that I'll collect again and will still have a purpose of own and playing again. As well I'll be adding them with their correct titles of as well, I haven't any of them since I wasn't much of a speed runner or a challenge playthrough type of person till around 2009 even then it was mostly with Resident Evil games that I have already marked previously.

If you are curious of what games are being exactly added check this link right here: [Link]

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Yeah, that is exactly what happened with me in regards to Banjo-Kazooie. I played through it recently and I basically completed the game on my first play through. Ironically, that is the problem I was having with the game. There is so much to collect in one level that you have to do it in one continue. If you game over, everything resets and you have to start all over. And exactly what you mean as well with needing so many jiggies and notes at the end. Since you are there anyway, it's just smarter to collect everything and that can lead to some frustrations.

Yeah, I just check Video Game Price Charts and the game is going for around $20, which is normal for a XBOX game. I have heard the Rare Replay is really good, but that is for a console I do not own. Someday, I might pick up Conker Live and Reloaded, but I got far more interesting XBOX games to play.

What did you think of Sonic Adventure? I will be playing that next in my DreamCast slot. I love the Sonic games on the Genesis, but I also understood their faults. I've never really played a 3D Sonic game, but I have heard good things about Sonic Adventure. It still looks beautiful, almost like an amazing tech demo for the DreamCast.

I can definitely see your point regarding 3D platformers. The best one I have played so far has been Banjo-Kazooie and that had frustrating elements. I don't know why, but I just can't wrap my head around them and always find them difficult to control. I want to like them, but the controls and camera angles just keep pulling me back.

I was watching some of the final levels on the Rare Replay and I saw they did the exact same thing. For example, you only need to throw the final boss twice into the hole, not three times. Also, the lasers in the escape of the War Mission don't do more damage if you hit more on the way down. Try4ce did a video about the XBOX Conker and I am somewhat interested in it. The censorship is basically inexcusable, but I like the graphics as his tail is so fluffy and I heard the controls were a bit better. I want to try it out, but I'm in no rush whatsoever.

I did see that it was basically in development hell, which is pretty typical for Rare games. They took FOREVER to release a game and the fact that it changed so drastically may have been a hinderance. But, I do agree with you in that the writing is the best part. The parodies are spot on and some of it is really quite good. As long as it stayed away from the juvenile humor, I was pretty content with that. I mean, the Great Mighty Poo was a good song.

Master of Unlocking: Majority of games are completed
Focus: Only playing one game
The only real tip that would help me is finding a way to access Goron City and I will look that up. I should be able to figure out the rest.
I only ever needed to "grind" for a Ruby to resist cold, I was always able to gain extra items by going around and defeating random enemies.

Oh, maybe I just have to keep playing and I'll find a way to progress.
I don't like grinding either, it's nice you don't have to kill too many enemies to continue the story.

I'm enjoying it so far, definiyely moreso than OoT. The game is getting quite tough now because Shrines aren't in plain sight anymore, and I can't find a way to enter Goron City or progress the Gerudo story, but hopefully I should finish it.
