I actually enjoyed AC1, although I'll admit it was repetitive and the narrative was the main reason I kept going through the game. AC2 was a huge step up towards fixing the problems in the first game. I totally would recommend you get AC:Brotherhood after you finish up AC2. It builds upon the gameplay even more and the multiplayer is pretty fun.

Triti has rather unfair tricks up its sleeve. If you can ever face it again with a calm heart, one thing that helped me is realizing that, if 2+ thorns vaporize during one round of extraction, you need to stop, pump up those vitals and wait for the thorns to regrow. Otherwise you'll just make things worse.

It was a process of "Operations going smoothly" - "What kind of impossible nonsense operation is this! You *** game!" - "Taking deep breaths" - "Going back the next day and finally passing the mission", but I managed to clear Under the Knife in the end. At least until the credits; I haven't tackled the X missions yet. Those can wait for when I feel like some more frustration in my life.

I did end up using an FAQ for the Triti operation in Chapter 6, also. Out of all the GUILTs, it is undoubtedly the worst.
