☆★★★★ Great game! The most Dungeons & Dragons-style experience I've had in an ARPG to date. :)

Are you talking about the zodiac spear? I didn´t get it in my playthrough of the game.

Yes. I found-out about a second ZS spawn location *after* I deleted my old save file. If you open the wrong chest for the second ZS, it disappears. The kicker: I found both ZSs, but I never used them afterward.

[ ZS is a two-handed weapon. Any character equipping it is left with dangerously low resistance to physical damage. ]

I dislike the way SE made RNG items *in* chests for FF XII. Having to read muddied information from the official guide adds insult to the game's injuries. Don't get me wrong, though: FF XII is enjoyable if you adjust your expectations for it.

Minion of Bak'laag: 100+ unfinished games
Are you talking about the zodiac spear? I didn´t get it in my playthrough of the game. I used guides here and there for it, mostly for the very long dungeons. I tend to use guides in most games I play now, but I don´t follow it through. I mostly just check here and there when I am stuck or when I encounter a very hard boss/dungeon/level.
I played this game a long time ago so I don´t remember too many details. But it was very good, although long, and I felt at times that it was too long for its own good. I had to play it by pacing it. Sometimes I would play for a few hours and take a 1 day break or use another game to change the pace.

GFAQs also is my first on-line visit for gaming-related topics. I tend to check-in *here* every month or so.

Re: FF XII, I played it for +70 hours before discovering a big mistake I made in the first hour. After a decade on the back-burner, and a copy of the FF XII official guide** in hand, I deleted my original play-through and restarted the game.

** I don't recommend it. The layout for some featured sections includes "lossy" format images with text, all resized into the space of a postage stamp. I like my challenges from a game, not from trying to decipher info in guides for the game.
Congratulations, you've reached the end of the page...
