Oof, from what I remember, the DS version of Myst is possibly the worst port of the game. Actually, maybe the 3DS one was worse?

Yeah, that dumb unkillable necromorph got me killed in every subsequent room 3-4 times before I could memorize the spawns and room layout. Before that, I was only really getting killed in chapter finale set pieces. It was NOWHERE near that annoying in DS1. I became so fixated on that bugger that when I finally bumped into the boss it was sort of an anticlimax.

Aside from that, cool game though.

It's pretty good. I purchased DS2 on virtue of really enjoying the first one. It had great atmosphere and some neat looking maps. I've heard a lot of people call this one a straight TPS but I'm not seeing it yet.

Was a little shocked when Isaac started talking. I was wondering where the heck the voice was coming from and then it hit me.

I kind of miss the tram between levels. It gave me a good start/ stop point without hurting tension build up. Now I have to psyche myself up at the load screen. Oh well.

Not sure if you're aware, but Knights in the Nightmare is part of the Dept. Heaven series, which includes Yggdra Union and Riviera right now.

I absolutely loved Knights in the Nightmare, but just be aware that it has a fairly steep learning curve. You'll probably spend 30-45 minutes just playing through the tutorials before you get to start playing the game. It's definitely not to everyone's tastes, either. It's pretty unique; I can't say I've ever played another game remotely like it.
