Lil Gator Game
100% Completion!

Updated about 2 weeks ago

☆★★★★ The titular gator tries to get his older sister to play with him again and so - with a little help from his friends - he turns an entire island into a fantasy adventure playground. This is a really cozy 3D open world platformer with no stakes or failstates, but also no map or mission markers, so it's easy to get lost in this world - for better or worse. The art-style and the soundtrack is just perfect. It's a pretty short game for this genre but well worth playing.

Oh yeah. The soundtrack of Mafia II is great! I haven't played the DLC's yet though.

I finished Rise of the Argonauts a couple of days ago. It tries to be a Mass Effect type game with a dialogue wheel that depending on your dialogue choice gives you points to a certain god power skill tree (Ares, Hermes, Apollo, Athena). It's not a long game since you only visit 4 locations in the game while collecting new weapons and allies along the journey. The combat is a little vague since it's suppose to have a rock-paper-scissors mechanic with the sword, spear and mace weapons but sometimes you can just kill the enemies with whatever you are holding at the moment. Overall the game is nothing special but it'll scratch that action-rpg itch that you may have.

The second Mafia improves on gameplay but the story really didn't hit me like the first did back in the day.

AM2R's great Dunno how it stacks up to the original since I never played it but it's very nicely polished. Graphics, music, and controls are great, and it has all the Metroid-style exploring and action that you'd want from one of those games.

Free Crusader tip: make multiple saves, there's a nasty time limit in one level that tripped me up and left me unable to beat the game.

Does Crusader still have those weird movement controls or is there a mod to fix that?

Well, I recently bought an old Compaq PC and it works fine on that But finding the game pristine in box for only 2 Euros on eBay was its own reward :D

And yeah, streaming usually every Monday and Friday now at 6 PM UTC. Gonna be continuing Crusader tonight.

Yeah, I often find myself getting killed by stupid stuff, but the game's damned addictive all the same. I do have a nasty habit of forgetting about Crystal's invulnerability in the heat of battle

Good advice, thanks My first attempt didn't go very well but now I'm getting the hang of things. Ivan's definitely helping. Conquered the first four sectors and got the micro-purifier on Day 1 so far

And I just gave up. You were right, the platforming gets completely bullshit in the later levels, to say nothing of those GODDAMN COWBOY ENEMIES AND THEIR EXPLODING BULLETS, *and* the "bosses" being the same damn thing over and over again and completely luck-based to boot. Even after finding a password generator to replenish my lives, I just couldn't be bothered. Looked up the ending online, I didn't miss anything. NEXT.
