Nah, not really. Its gameplay is kind of too reliant on spamming buttons and hope you hit the opponent, and there isn't a lot of content in the game right now. Unless you like going back to online matches a lot to improve your rank or have fun, it gets boring rather quickly. It's not really worth buying unless you're a fan of the genre.

That is amazing news! Just as I was about to lose hope for ever playing Etrian Odyssey V! I had just left a comment somewhere mentioning that I was actually considering giving up on the idea.

And what a bonus surprise - titles concerning Strange Journey and Radiant Historia too! I wonder if they're enhanced remakes, or actual sequels...

It's been quite some time since I have seriously looked forward to some titles releasing. Thank you for sharing that!

Oh really? That's interesting. I wonder if our store is getting those in... Have fun with that I hope it works well, since NES games were never originally intended to be output to that

I would like to try the GBC version of Dragon Warrior III sometime. Not sure how different it is, I imagine it's a pretty good upgrade from the NES.

This is my first time ever playing the game. I've played I, II, and IV before, but skipped III purposely because I thought the idea of choosing your characters was boring and tedious. The game itself plays pretty well though, reminds me of DW IV which was my fave back in the day.

Ah, yeah lightning will do that Retron 5? Or just the original that only plays NES games? I haven't used them myself but our store sells them and from what I've heard from coworkers and customers they're not as durable as an original NES but as long as you're not letting little kids or pets be rough with it they're generally pretty solid

I actually have an original DS that's charger was plugged into the wall when our house was hit by lightning. Within a year it could not hold a charge long enough for me to walk across the room. I tried a different charger, and replaced the battery, nothing helped. Eventually replaced it with my 3ds and gave it to my best friend because she and her husband were interested in taking it apart. They never did and it just sat around at their place for about 7-8 years. This past weekend, I was at their house and asked for it back. I figured it works when it's plugged in, may as well use it as a spare and for gba games when I'm at home. I walked over to the wall to plug it in and see if it would still work at all... and it just turned on. Didn't have to plug it in, or charge it first, or anything O_o I don't actually have a charger for it anymore, but gonna pick one up tomorrow at work. We'll see if this freak of nature lasts or if it's just a fluke, but it's super weird xD
