I would gladly PM you the password, but it's in .png format; it might be easier for me to send them to you through Skype one Friday night or another. I tested it for the second game, and it works; I couldn't get the direct link to work, so I had to use it.

Honestly, I like the second Golden Sun even more! The puzzles are more clever, the battles are more challenging, and the Djinn system gets RIDICULOUS. If you missed Djinni from the first one, I think I still have my ridiculously long password from my playthrough, which has all Djinni, as well as some kick-ass gear for everyone. The graphics made this the first game that actually made me believe that the GBA is a 32-bit system. I mean, a lot of the SNES ports don't look as good as they do on a 16-bit system, but this damn thing looks as good as SaGa Frontier! I'm a total whore for an intricate class system, and Golden Sun delivers in a way that no other game I've played has. Not that it's necessarily the best - that honor probably goes to Final Fantasy 5 - but it's so neat the way you build your classes.

I don't think there's a game for the Wii, but the name does sort of sound like another game on there, though I can't quite remember which one at the moment...

Supposedly the GBA port of Phantasia is really bad, mainly because of the translation. The big example I always see is that "Ragnarok" is translated as "kangaroo", which is a pretty big mistake.

There are times when you need something like that to keep you going; I've sure been there. If you need me, you know where to find me.

Yeah, sometimes, you have to leave and enter the chocobo farm a few times, or even fight a few battles in between to mess with the RNG enough to change the result, but it's definitely possible. I don't know how the random number is seeded, since most use the internal clock, and this one doesn't, so I can't even begin to tell you which variables matter.

I've been on kind of an anti-RPG kick lately, so maybe the Dragon Warrior/Final Fantasy marathon was just what I needed. That and Golden Sun; that was pretty damn awesome.

I know for sure that I rush through games, and sometimes, it's like I don't know how not to. I don't really even notice it until I replay something I've already beaten before.

Yeah, I played Hotel Dusk back in...2007? Possibly my favorite DS game. I really need to get around to playing the sequel, Last Window. As for the Tales series, there's certainly no shortage of them to try! I'm only a little bit into Phantasia as of now, but even at this early stage in the franchise's history, they were already deep in the heart of trope city.

Confused: Playing 10+ games at once
Been super busy at work (3 raises though), so I've had minimal time to spend here replying to posts and stuff. I mostly use weekends to catch up, but I was up in San Francisco the weekend before last, so I obviously got nothing here done then (though we beat like three games). I recently scored a 27" Triniton CRT TV for free, so I've been stocking up on lightguns (2 Saturn, 2 Dreamcast, 2 PS1, 2 PS2) and lightgun games to play with my cousin. We just beat RE6 together last Wednesday and playing a bit of our next game, Saints Row IV, which I think he really enjoys. I'm a bit sad that I can't have my girl with a Russian accent like III personally, I really like those, but I guess a French accent is better than nothing. I got him that, RE5, and Until Dawn (which we beat down here, but he really loved so I figured I'd get it for him, plus it was only 20 bucks or so) for Xmas/his birthday, and his sister got him Overwatch. I managed to play a few rounds of it when I was up there, and apparently I'm actually decent at it, scored like 20 kills between two or three matches. I still don't see why people take it overly seriously and rage at it, but I guess I just don't let online competivtive crap bother me. Easily the thing that makes me curious about it is Blizzard making Tracer a lesbian, although that pissed off a lot of (homophobic) people. I even had to ban a guy in a Twitch stream a while back because he went from swearing off Blizzard games because of Tracer to making homophobic slurs at me. Gross.

Anyway, Pokemon Pink is basically the same game as Pokemon Red/Blue, only you can start with Vulpix, Jigglypuff, or Meowth. Obviously you play as a girl too, which is part of the reason I liked it a lot. These runs in Pokemon ROM hacks have let me use Pokemon I never really use otherwise, and it's really let me experience some different 'mon. I still hate putting together a team outside of the Exp Share games, I mainly solo the early games. All of my solo runs are in my list, probably some of the more impressive ones are Persian and Magneton. Maybe Houndoom too, but Houndoom is actually pretty good, at least I think. I might do an Ursaring solo run in one, and I want to do a Mew solo run for fun. I've done two Pikachu ones, multiple Typhlosion and Charizard, and most of the other Gen 1/2 starters.

Yakuza 0 is very fun so far, but I still can't wait for Kiwami to go up for preorder. 0 is probably shaping up to be in my top 3 Yakuza games.

Not bad; we just had the carpets cleaned, so shit's piled EVERYWHERE (I'm currently pinned between 2 sofas), and my CD collection is all boxed up, except #-B. I mean, I have David Byrne, Birthday Massacre, and the 8 Mile Soundtrack, so I'm good, but having some Green Day, Offspring, or Red Hot Chili Peppers would be nice; my car doesn't have an audio jack, so having my entire collection digitized isn't helping me right now. You?

So, I had this excellent plan, where I was going to do the usual Double Summon with Knights of the Round, and Mimic the shit out of it, but this time, I linked Mimic to HP Absorb, so it'd heal me each time, and I could just keep going without stopping to heal. Turns out that Mimic doesn't actually work with HP Absorb, or at least, when you're using it to replicate Knights of the Round (which also doesn't work with Quadra Magic), so I got my ass turned into a can of magic space soup. Chocobo breeding is a real punch in the tits, but I found out that you can get almost all of the exclusive prizes by winning 10 consecutive matches in S Rank, which is easy with a Gold Chocobo, and even easier with the stamina regeneration trick. Also, a chocobo's sex isn't determined when you catch them; it's chosen when you move them into a stable, so if you get the wrong one, you can just reload your save and try again, rather than having to catch another.

That said, I've gotten completely swept up in the game, despite the weird - and sometimes outright bad - translation choices, the actual game is fun, and now that my exposure is actually playing it, and not just fanboys screaming "ERMAGERD SERFERERTH!" at me, I'm having a blast. I think it also helps that it took me almost a month to finish it; I've been blasting through games for the last several years, but I'd forgotten how good it can feel to just slow down and take your time to enjoy a nice, long RPG.

Consider Yourself a Hero: Majority of games are beaten
Yeah, when it comes to fandom, I can't help but feel like I need to have a lawyer on hand or act like I'm trying to write some English essay for some college class to justify any viewpoint I have. Though, at least I'm able to enjoy Tales of Berseria despite the backlash I felt towards it.

That does remind me about how my teenage self was more scared of classic Resident Evil more than Silent Hill while everyone else felt Silent Hill was scarier. In fact, my older sister made fun of me for that. Yeah, I was going against the crowd on that one. Though, being older, I have grown to feel the other way (especially revisiting the second Silent Hill game, which is worthy of the praise). As much as I enjoy Resident Evil, I feel like even the classic RE aren't really that scary & relied on cheap jump scares to induce fear most of the time (I'll give an exception to 3 since...do I really want a creep like Nemesis stalking me).

Speaking of Resident Evil...RE7...I did play with the demo. It was neat but, as much as I know people don't want another shooter game (and I do welcome them going back to horror, even if I do have certain unpopular opinions about RE), I still feel I need more convincing that it does tie into the RE universe just fine. It came off as just riding the coat tail of PT when it was revealed. So yeah, I'm not ready to be welcomed to the family & I can wait longer (probably doesn't help that my older sister & her BF gifted me Deus Ex: Mankind Divided for my birthday). I guess if someone can confirm to me, even vaguely, the ties to RE's previous lore are strong with RE7, then I think I'll be ready to check it out when the time comes.

Man, I've been slacking off on Pokémon Sun! But yeah, Rowlet!
