I went ham fall of last year accumulating all the LEGO games. It reassures me to see that pretty much your entire gaming goal is to finish these off.

What did I get myself into

Glitching screwing up progress. I hate that shit.
My two most memorable was when Psychonauts glitched on the final stage of the final boss fight, and it was tough getting there, and there were no checkpoints, and then About 2/3rd of the way through Beyond Good and Evil glitched in a way that prevented any further progress. That game is so good though, I started over anyway.

Phoenix Wright! My all-time favorite video game franchise. How are you liking it? They just released two new ones, of which I just finished one. I beat literally every other game in the franchise in the lead up to it (8 games in total ).

No worries, now its my turn to apologize for the lack of a reply.

My holiday season was pretty good! Nothing too noteworthy due to the circumstances this past year, as you can probably expect, but I did get to spend a few days with my parents and brother which was nice. I hope you had a good holiday season and a good start to your 2021!

I'm glad that you're enjoying DKC: Tropical Freeze overall. The bosses are probably the weakest part of the game, but they can still be pretty fun too. I guess you still haven't conquered the final boss yet, judging on your backlog? If not, keep trying & do your best!

I've become a bit addicted to VTubers recently, and particularly Hololive VTubers. That's eaten into my gaming time a lot, but I'm really having fun in the community, and especially in the community of my favorite Tuber, Mori Calliope, so its been time well spent engaging with that. I have been enjoying my time with Hollow Knight lately though!

Donkey Kong games are notorious for having difficult final bosses, so it's good to see they've kept up the tradition.

I haven't played it, and actually...I'm kind of low-key terrible at 2D platformer games. I've only ever beaten a handful of them in my entire gaming career, which is a depressing fact.

And yeah, I have a few ideas. We could do another LucasArts game, or maybe a visual novel of some kind. Not sure if you're into those, but they are usually a lot of fun.

Sorry, just saw your comment!

I'm afraid to tell you your kids were likely pirating. Sailing the seven seas of the internet searching for "PC" versions of popular Nintendo games...but oh well. All of us have. I hope you enjoyed it!

Hope you're doing well. I really enjoyed our Grim Fandango outing. If you have any ideas of similar / interesting games you'd enjoy playing together, I'd love to.

Hello and thanks! I've been doing as fine as possible during these difficult & uncertain times. I'm pretty lucky in some ways (namely, that I'm able to work from home during the pandemic, which I know is very fortunate). I've also been able to stay healthy and my family has too, so that's also fortunate. Hopefully you've been doing well through this whole thing too.

Origami King was a fantastic game. Its the best PM game since Super on the Wii (I still liked the other two on 3DS & Wii U, but this one just kinda blows them out of the water in pretty much every category). I really enjoyed the revamped battle system a lot in this one. It was especially put to good use during the boss fights, which had fun mechanics & puzzles to figure out as you went along.

I love both Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi. I think I'd give the slight edge to PM in terms of quality and having the most memorable games of the two, but they're all really solid games. I don't think you really need to have played any of the others ones to get into Origami King either, so if you feel like you wanna give it a try, I'd say you should go for it! And as for Mario & Luigi, I would highly recommend picking up the 3DS remake of Bowser's Inside Story if you can find it. Absolutely fantastic game. Bowser in particular really shines in both of these series' and playing as him in this one was great!

How's DKC Tropical Freeze treating you? That was one of my favorite Wii U games, and though I didn't pick up the Switch port, myself, I am glad it was able to be released to a wider audience. Both that & DKC Returns have been some of the best games of the recent generations, and I'd really love to see Retro do a new one for the Switch when they're done working on Metroid Prime 4.

I did a similar thing just recently. I moved all my "games withnhold" from my Xbox one last to my previously unused "xbox one downloads" list. That way if I ever stop paying or they stop offering them to me for whatever reason I can either remove them or buy them... not sure I'm helping your situation but it's just what I chose to do.

Anyone have thoughts on PSN games organization? I kinda don't like them being under PSN here, and would rather put the digital games I own (vs PS+ Plus) on the console they are to be played on, then only keep the PS+ titles I actually play, leaving the rest of the PS+ that I'll never play off of BL.

This isn't about improving my BL count to lower as much as just make it logical. If I own the digital game, keep it regardless if I've played or not. If I have it thru subscription only, only add what make a serious attempt to play.

Does this make sense? This has bugged me for years and I want to address it now.

Any thoughts from the community?

Hell yeah Banjo-Kazooie

Fun Fact: That's my very first console game - I got it for Christmas in 1998

Pro tip: Notes are actually more important than Jiggies - get all you can.

Glad to hear your family's doing well. I've been reading a lot, actually, far more than gaming

But yes, I have the PS4 version of Grim Fandango. This summer would be good! Do you have Discord, or Skype? We can touch base on there and figure out a day to start that makes sense.

Welcome back! I'm super busy these days, working more or less two full-time jobs, so my back logging has slowed dramatically.

Let me know when you're starting Grim Fandango! It might be fun for us to play together. Also, how was Ratchet on PS4? Did you ever play the old PS2 ones?

Finally, how's the family? Everyone holding up ok?

SotC on the PS4 is mostly the same, apart from updated graphics. There is also an update control scheme, and I feel it plays even better than the PS2 or PS3 versions. There are also a few bonus things, like a new collection of coins to find, and a mirror-world option in New Game Plus. But there are no new colossi, and the strategies for each are the same.
