Have fun with Xenogears! That's one of my favorite games of all time.

Well I am not a fan of Woolsey, I am glad he did not touch those games lol. FF VII and FFT have very good localizations now if you play the right version of the games. Chrono Cross I have no issues with personally.

That is why you play FF7 on PC so you can play it with the vastly improved fan translation. I dont think the original was aweful, but it has issues for sure. Games like Breath of Fire 2, Legend of Dragoon, FFT and Wild Arms 2 had weaker localizations for example.

Hey, been a while

Well, I started work Tuesday. They hired another person to help me, and the process generally seems easier now. He's cool, good news, he's a gamer, bad news, he plays Call of Duty and other shooters, and didn't even know what a Sega Master System was. I guess at least we seem to get along okay, so far at least. We're still way behind though, sales are way down, though that's not on me at all, it's mostly the listers' and merchandisers' fault. I think because of that though, we don't get Memorial Day off, which is fucking lame.

I'm just happy that I keep my old pay rate and that I'll probably continue to get raises if all goes well.

I still need to get back to Yooka Laylee, I guess I had hoped that my cousin would want to co op that because I still don't know how the co op in it really works, same with Shovel Knight. He ended up only staying overnight and a few hours on Saturday, because he left for Germany Monday for work. At least we managed to beat Mother Russia Bleeds. I also went through and beat my second solo lightgun game, Time Crisis 2, which I ended up having to unlock free play, because I'm kinda bad at light gun games, and the default 4 hits = 1 credit seems too harsh to me, but you also unlock 9 hits when you unlock Free Play...not sure why, other than maybe for not having to continue as soon? I dunno. The other one was RE Gun Survivor 2. I really want to play Virtua Cop 1+2 and House of the Dead 1+2, but kind of want to wait to co op those. He only has a PS4 when I visit there, which is still okay, cause I have a lot of PS4 digital games and he can just play those when I sign in up there, and I can just download my save off the cloud, but as you can imagine, there are infinitely more options when he comes down here.

But other than that, I feel fairly indifferent to Yooka Laylee so far. Probably cause it feels more like Banjo Tooie than Kazooie, and I wasn't as big of a fan of Tooie for several reasons, namely the worlds felt way too big and empty, and there were borderline too many minigames...but then again, nothing compares to Donkey Kong 64. Easily my least favorite Rare game, outside of obviously Nuts and Bolts (I think I even like that more, if it wasn't billed as a Banjo game, it might have been more well received). Literally every other Golden Banana is tied to a ridiculous minigame, and you need Golden Bananas to progress. I don't think it's possible to avoid the minigames and still have enough

Oh I forgot that Shapiro went to the Jays. I see that Encarnacion got a warm welcome, but the Jays took the first game and then tonight the Indians took the second.

I don’t think Yooka Laylee is that bad at all, but then again I have not played much of it yet and I loved the N64 platformer era. I need to play it more to get more insight on the game. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks or so.

Moving went pretty good. I’m mostly unpacked, but I still have two rooms to finish up. I hope to have everything wrapped up by mid June, but who knows.
