☆★★★★ SR2 remains my favorite out of the games I've played in the series so far, but I had fun playing this as well. Happy grinding for respect to do missions was removed and instead used for leveling up and upgrading your character. Wish there was a "replay mission" option like in the first 2 games, because some missions were just that amazing. While I liked some of this game's music (like 90's nostalgic favorite "Return of the Mack" and "Power"), SR2 had more variety.

I owned the original GB version of this game back in the day, but was too young to fully understand how to play the game. Many years later and a few Metroid games played, I'm now familiar with the series formula. Going good so far with this.

☆★★★★ I really enjoyed this game. The combination of RPG and FPS blends together nicely. The action is fast and fluid. The Cel-Shading graphic style presentation gives off a living comic book vibe. Looting and exploring is addicting. Story is meh and the ending was a little underwhelming, but the journey is better than the destination. Overall, a very good game.

So...

I was curious about your banner image, so I read your page note.

Then I was curious what "Aeolian" was a reference to, since it's the exact name I've used for decades for my custom races in Master of Orion II, so I did a search for it.

Then I was curious what a WLOP was and what Ghostblade was a reference to, so I did some more searching.

Then I readΒ all of Ghostblade (at least as much as I could see was published) in one sitting.

Thanks for (incidentally) pointing me to a graphic novel with some incredible artwork!

Thanks! You too! Thanks for the feedback as well!

I'm not 100% sure of everything the remaster adds, but I know it has a third woman you can potentially end up with (a potentially trans woman, no less!), so the story is changed. There's also new gameplay modes as well, including new rules and block types and stuff, I think. Reading about it on the Wiki, it seems like there's a lot of new content so its something I'd classify as a separate game for sure.

Those are good goals, and I'm with you on the first one especially. As tempted as I am to replay the Saints Row games again now that I have them on PC, I really should be working on new games. I watched the story of the first 2 games on Youtube to keep the urges away and that sort of helped.

I'd definitely lean towards the PS4 in terms of utility, but the Switch is my favourite of the three. I'm somewhat ashamed to admit I own all 3 current gen consoles (and a gaming PC) but bought the consoles simply because they were on sale and because each had an exclusive I wanted (RDR2 and Rare Replay), but I find I'm getting more use out of my PS4 than I thought I would. Even if the industry goes to hell, I've got so many games to play that I probably wouldn't notice.

I'd recommend getting a Saturn. My dad bought one back in the day, and I'd play it on the weekends I was there. I loved it, but it was a weird experience for me: he'd buy a couple new games every few weeks and he bought them almost seemingly at random. He was mostly into sports games, but every now and then he'd buy something totally random (and awesome) like Resident Evil or Dark Savior, or light gun shooters. Are Saturn games really expensive though?

I've still got my N64, PSX, and Saturn, but I haven't used any of them in a good long while and none of them are hooked up.

I stealth 100%ed GTAV over the summer once I got the PC version. The collection based things were a tedious nightmare as always, but loading up a custom soundtrack and putting Youtube on a separate screen to alleviate the boredom really helped. Good luck!

Also, <3 your theme. You always feature such cute girls in your themes and pics.

Morrigan Never was too big into Darkstalkers (Fighting games are one of my least favorite genres...that, sports, and first person shooters), but I love her for obvious reasons

Sonic Heroes actually wasn't as bad as I remember on Gamecube, the hardest parts were probably getting the Chaos Emeralds, that and Team Dark's stages felt like kind of a slog because they were super long. The hardest stages were probably Rail Canyon and Bullet Station, just because it's kind of easy to fall off. I recently beat Spinball, Advance 2, Colors DS, and Rush Adventure, as well. I was almost done with the Wii U Sonic Boom, but it's just so incredibly dull to play....that and Lost World 3DS and the Boom 3DS games. I feel like I should eventually beat Lost World 3DS because I'm probably halfway, but the stages feel a lot meaner than the Wii U version. Shattered Crystal is a bit dull too, I hear Fire & Ice is the "best" one.

I haven't played Agents of Mayhem. I've seen it streamed, and it looks...kind of boring and weird, definitely not as good as Saints Row. I looked up a Saints Row V a few days ago, and now they're saying it may not happen. I can't help but wonder if Agents of Mayhem doing poorly influenced that.

The Switch's d pad seems to be the best one for the Blue Sphere stages, at least I thought so when comparing them on PS4 and Switch. I got [Link] off Amazon.jp

I've recently been getting into the Shin Megami Tensei series pretty hard. It feels perfect with it now being a Sega IP. I've already beaten three entries in the series, and definitely aim to play almost all of it.

[Link]
[Link]

That's three Sega IPs in my top 5 now, Yakuza, Sonic, and SMT. Yakuza has actually overtaken Sonic, mainly cause it has a far FAR greater ratio of amazing games to not so amazing.

I never bothered with NES/SNES classics, I just use my RetroPie for everything NES/SNES. I am however getting the Playstation Classic, mostly cause it will almost certainly be hacked, and then I can put most other PS1 games on it. That and unlike NES/SNES, my RetroPie doesn't exactly run PS1 games at 100%.

Yeah, Mega Man 8 is an awesome entry in the series, but the voice acting is laughably bad. It’s not just a few bad ones, the entire cast is awful. And yes I agree, the music was great. Frost Man’s theme stood out for me.

Which of the Mega Man X games do you recommend playing? I’ve only played the first one, which I loved. And are you excited for Mega Man 11?

Your Xbox 360 collection is huge, btw! Must be your favorite system of all time.
