When I played Papers, Please I went with one of the early failure endings and called it beat since I couldn't stomach the idea of actually playing all 30 days or whatever. I don't mind the concept of political games and it's a decent attempt but the message comes at the cost of gameplay, and the subject of oppressive countries being oppressive isn't exactly a brain blower.
Obra Dinn is miles more fun, creative and engaging and the aesthetic parallel between 19th century ink prints and early computer graphics is fucking genius.
Absolutely LOVED Cyberpunk, 10/10 and probably the best game of the (last) gen for me. I much prefer it to the Witcher but I've always liked sci fi significantly more than fantasy. It's been over 5 years since I played The Witcher 3 so I can't accurately compare, but the writing in Cyberpunk is its most stand-out quality and way better than most games. A new game hasn't made me care so much about its characters in a long time.
It also just happens to be perfectly up my alley though, cyberpunk type work might be my favorite setting for fiction and it has a lot in common mechanically with Bethesda games which have always been my favorites despite their drawbacks. If a game were designed specifically to please me in particular it couldn't do much better, so I wouldn't expect most to enjoy it as much as I did.
