Well, I beat it. Took 120 hours, and I still have to go back in to get some NG+ trophies. Another day, though. Damn fine game.

Joined me retroactively, then? My scarily accurate logs tell me I cleared Persona 3's main story in late March 2010, after Marvel Ultimate Alliance and before Baroque. Man, I could do with some time for proper gaming again.

Congratulations on joining me where I am on Persona 3 FES. I have not dared to attempt The Answer. I may still do so someday, or I may just replay the main game. Or both. Or neither, given how my backlog works

Eh, it goes. Still going back and forth, visiting each other. Immigration sucks though, especially now.

Yeah, the ending of the original Grandia did come as something of a surprise, and if you've played this many RPGs, a surprise is a good thing. We'll see what Grandia 3 comes up with, though right now I'm a little stuck and annoyed.:P

I beat TAY on WW, but wanted a portable version. I've yet to start TAY on PSP, but from what everyone is saying, it's exactly the same as the WW version, sans the graphics. And that's fine, I enjoyed TAY.

I wouldn't be surprised if SE did that with the 3DS, but I wouldn't wait for it, either.

The battles are a mix between GBA and DS; they flow quickly and smoothly (except when you summon, but Auto-Battle will speed that up), but the difficulty keeps you on your toes somewhat. Status effects can very easily turn the tide of a battle, but generally, they're easy, especially before Cecil's class change.

At least, they are when you're accustomed to the DS game and using more than just the "Fight" command.

The 2D graphics are amazing. I'm not that thrilled with the sprite designs of the playable characters, but outside of that...

Overall, I rate it second to the DS version, but better than everything else. Although, I'm kind of partial to the DS one because of the augment system and heavy emphasis on strategy, so take that as you will.

I'm not enjoying Grandia 3 as much as I'd hoped myself. The battle system's fun enough but the story so bland that I normally just fire it up on a weekend for an hour or two and that's it again. However, I'm still at it and I hope to keep that up until game end, which I reckon can't be *that* far away anymore. I have a bad habit of leaving RPGs alone too long and then restarting them instead of picking up my save, and I'd hate to add yet another save-in-progress to the pile.

I predict Yuki will get the girl in a strictly platonic manner, where in the end they decide to go explore the world together or something and he doesn't kiss even her cheek on camera. I think I've played enough Japanese RPGs to know the deal. :P

That's the one, yes. For some reason I suck at this game. Took me forever to reach that boss, and then he kicked my ass Any tips for this game? I never played it before.

I see this a lot, people spending double, sometimes triple the time I do on an RPG. The main reason is I tend not to do a lot of sidequests or extra grinding. So many unfinished RPGs in the backlog that I just want to get through them and vaguely promise myself to do a replay someday to "get everything", even though on most games I probably won't do it.

My save for Persona 3 is far from perfect and I'll be lucky to max out even half my S-Links - and some I've never even found - but it's been a long journey nonetheless. Until now, Dragon Quest VIII was the game that took me the longest to "beat" barebones in about 65 hours - this is set to surpass it now.

Of course I've spent close to 200 hours total on Disgaea, but that was mostly Item World. :P Start to finish on that without too much distraction was about 40 hours.
